Al Aqsa Club in partnership with ActionAid is intended to implement “Improve Protection of Vulnerable Groups and Enhance Resilience of their Communities in Middle Area”

Background of Al Aqsa Club

Al-Aqsa  Club is non-governmental organization founded on 1993 in Al Nussirate – Gaza Middle by group of youth who believe in justice and freedom to response to high needs for Social and cultural activities to children and Youth as it is the Only Club in Al Nussirate serving about 50,000 Youth and children. In 2003 Al Aqsa club developed their activities to serve as grass roots organization working in emergency, early recovery, and development, in the meantime its worth mentioning that  more than 60% benefited from Al -Aqsa activities are women and girls in addition to children .

Accountability and transparency is the main pillar in our work, community participation/mobilization, advocacy, and lobbying for hunger and poverty is our main mandate.

Al Aqsa Sport club is seeking to hire a professional Programme Officer under the project

Start date: April 2017

Contract Duration: 15 months

Project’s Localities: (West Nussirate, Al Mogaragah, Wadi Gaza, Joher Al Deek, and Al Musader)

Reporting to: Programme Coordinator

Key Responsibilities:

Assist the Programme Coordinator in coordinate the work of the program staff including supervision and evaluation, training and team building

Facilitate and attend weekly staff meetings to maintain effective communication

Ensure adequate and qualified staff to carry out the program activities

Assist the Programme Coordinator for the implementation, management, supervision and evaluation of all activities of the program in accordance with Standards

Contribute in coordination with Programme Coordinator for the supervision and management of the data management software

Assuring good knowledge and maintaining both formal an informal network of all stakeholders (authorities, administration, NGOs, CBOs, local networks)

Compile, maintain and report on the monthly, quarterly and annual program statistics.

Contribute in the implement, manage, supervise and evaluate all activities related to the Programme

Assist the Programme Coordinator for the expansion of the programs forming partnerships where appropriate

Eligible applicants are required to have the following qualifications and

skills:

Degree in Social Work or related field i.e. human services, or any related field

Strong problem solving and group work leadership skills

Ability to interact with people of all ages and cultural backgrounds

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Sound computer skills

Effective oral and written communication skills

Ability to work flexible hours

Very Good English communication skills

3 years working experience in the related work
